Hosted: we run a fully isolated VM for you. You pick a Plan (site cap + features) AND a VM size (resources). The two combine into your monthly total — we handle the OS, updates, daily off-site backups, and uptime.

Yes — upgrade or downgrade anytime from your dashboard, and the next invoice is pro-rated automatically. One exception: on a Hosted plan the virtual machine itself can only be upgraded, not downgraded — by its nature a VM's disk and resources can't be safely shrunk once provisioned. You can still change your Plan tier freely; only the VM size is upgrade-only.
